Rick Hopcraft Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: Monday, September 21st 2015

The Rick Hopcraft Memorial Scholarship seeks to carry on Rick’s memory and legacy of community service by supporting returning veterans in their preparation for commercial real estate careers in Orange County. In partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, the Rick Hopcraft Memorial Scholarship committee will award one or more scholarships annually to returning veterans pursuing education at area institutions of higher learning in Orange County. 

Criteria, Students Must:

  • Have served in the United States Military. If discharged, the discharge status must be honorable.
  • Plan to pursue a career in commercial real estate in the Orange County area.
  • Enroll in a major that is relevant to a career in commercial real estate.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Attend or plan to attend Chapman University, CSUF, UCI, USC, Pepperdine or a community college in Orange County.

Afghanistan and Iraq War Veterans Scholarship

Deadline: Friday, May 1st 2015

Scholarships of $2500 each are offered to active-duty and honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (to include Reservists and National Guard personnel) of the Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) or Iraqi Freedom operations who are actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in an eligible major at accredited two- or four- year institutions in the United States. Distance-learning or online programs affiliated with a major U.S. institution are eligible.

Student Veterans of America BP STEM Scholarship

Deadline: Monday, June 1st 2015

SVA is thrilled to partner with BP America to provide three $10,000 scholarships to students in STEM fields. This scholarship program reinforces our shared commitment to creating and increasing opportunities for veterans to pursue courses of study that yield to high demand, high growth careers in STEM and technology-related fields.

Pat Tillman Military Scholarship
The Pat Tillman Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the annual application process for the Tillman Military Scholarship. As a supplement to the Post 9-11 GI Bill, the scholarship covers direct study-related expenses, including tuition and fees, books and living stipend, for eligible service members, veterans or military spouses who are pursuing undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degrees as full-time students at a public or private, US-based accredited institution.

Applications are normally opened at the beginning of each calendar year.
